Alibaba, in collaboration with DAMO Academy and Zhejiang Cancer Hospital, has developed an AI model called Grape. This innovative model can accurately detect early-stage stomach cancer with an impressive accuracy rate of over 96%.
Trained on a vast dataset of CT scans from 3,470 cancer patients and 3,250 healthy individuals, Grape can identify even the smallest abnormalities that may be missed by experts or traditional imaging techniques.
The model's clinical trial results are remarkable, with an 85.1% detection speed and a 96.8% accuracy rate. This makes Grape an efficient tool for stomach cancer screening, offering a less invasive and more accessible option for patients.
