In a shocking incident, a man named Ramdas narrowly escaped an alleged attempt plotted by his wife Jyoti and four others. According to initial reports, the group lured Ramdas into consuming alcohol, after which they assaulted him using beer bottles. Believing he had died after losing consciousness, they abandoned him at the scene. However, Ramdas later regained consciousness and managed to reach his brother’s house, where he narrated the entire sequence of events.

Earlier, Ramdas and Jyothi had been separated for two years after domestic disputes, during which she filed a violence case. Family elders recently facilitated reconciliation, urging them to live together again. However, tensions remained high, culminating in the alleged murder attempt—plotted, Ramdas says, to clear obstacles in Jyothi's personal life.

Following his statement, Ramdas’s brother immediately filed a complaint, leading to the registration of a zero FIR. The case has now been transferred to the Dundigal police station for a full investigation.
