🔊🔛 @AlsafariTours may have showed us the #Algarve by land, but @7OndaBoatTrips showed us by sea, looking inwards at the coast. That’s because the must-see geological marvel of the #Algarve are the Benagil Caves, the network caverns and tunnels within the Golden Coast of limestone cliffs. Most people sightsee via boat, and we went with guide “GPS” and captain Don of Sétima Onda Boat Trips.

The rock formations are stunning, so much at some believe they’re one of the default images of Microsoft Windows 10 (but I can’t confirm this). Whether this is true or not, the scenery is wallpaper worthy, including the Algar da Albandeira, the Arco de Albandeira, Algar dos Capitães, the Arcos Naturais da Praia da Marinha, and Gruta dos algarinhos (writing this down for my notes). In short, there’s the rock formation that looks like a yellow submarine, one with holes on the ceiling that look like eyes, and one that maybe looks like a crocodile. There are arches and caves, some accessible by boat, paddleboard, or swimming, depending on the tide.
