ABC chief political correspondent Laura Tingle made claims of Australia being a “racist country”.

“Despite calling the country racist and claiming that Peter Dutton's budget speech was dangerous, there have been no real penalties.

“The response from boss David Anderson has just been bizarre … saying that Tingle has simultaneously been punished but also did nothing wrong.

“Anderson seems to want it both ways and that incompatible logic is what hurts the ABC the most.”
