Wittenberger Apothekenhandschrift - Polonaise 17 - Bouzouki

My arrangement of a German traditional tune from the 1700's.

Not to mention the incredible story behind the manuscript it is found in:

"Die Wittenberger Apothekenhandschrift" is a mid 18th century MS that was found in an old apothecary's potions cabinet. On each page is a register of poisons -- BUT on the backside of every page, is written a tune.
So going forward through the book, it is a book of poisons, but if you go back to front it is a book of music... Amazing.

And shout out to Tanz Musik Arkiv (TradTanzMusik here on youtube) who made this manuscript available... and all the work they are doing on other historical German music sources that would otherwise be almost impossible to come by. This is a rare and niche corner of trad music that I'm super looking forward to working alot more with.
