As few may know that i am soulfully connected to Mata Tripureshwari. While on my first visit to the temple back in 70’s, i witnessed that there was no specific aarti of the devi and people were using the regular ambe gauri aarti. That inspired me to write an exclusive aarti on my way back to the city where i was staying in Tripura. This aarti is very close to my heart and is written in a way that its chhand also is ‘tripureshwari’ by the blessings of the devi. In one of my next visit this aarti was presented to the temple trust and a banner of it is posted on the temple and is often sung as aarti. However, i have always wanted to present it artistically with proper music along with my hazri, so that temple can use it anytime they want. This lead Shri Kaushik Basu to beautifully compose this arti and Shri Vaibhav Mankad and Smt Sharmishtha Basu have soulfully sung it for the cause. Shri @umashankar shukla on sitar, Tabla and khol by Shri Kaushik Basu, Shri @Vijay tambe on flute. We were supposed to go to the temple and present our haazri at the temple but the lockdown cancelled the plan. Last month Shri Sunil Sunkara requested us to present this arti in Kala Arpan Mahotsav of The Art of Living as a hazri infront of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravishankar himself on the auspicious occassion of the 3rd day of Navratri. It couldn't have been any better place for us to present this musical version of my Tripureshwari Vandana and get the blessings of the devi and Gurudev at the same time. Here I am posting the video again for all of you.
