Last school year, Maryland NHD teacher Leif Liberg and his students researched the life and legacy of Sergeant Dolores Helen Katashuk Ames, who served in the U.S. Women’s Army Corps during the Korean War era. Sergeant Ames served with the 7795th Signal Supply Control Agency, maintaining records for U.S. troops in Germany. Listen to Mr. Liberg tell more of her story here, and the opportunity his students had to visit Sergeant Ames’s grave at the National Memorial Cemetery at Quantico.
