Intro to Court Interpreter Ethics with Marco and Lorena

Описание к видео Intro to Court Interpreter Ethics with Marco and Lorena

Marco Hanson, of Texan Translation, and Lorena Devlyn, federal court interpreter for Spanish and French, review the canons of ethics common to many state and national codes: accuracy, completeness, representation of qualifications, impartiality, avoidance of conflicts of interest, professional demeanor, confidentiality, scope of practice, assessing and reporting impediments to performance, reporting ethical violations and professional development.
Marco and Lorena are interpreter trainers at various college and professional programs. They comment on their own experiences with ethical situations likely to arise early in the career of a court interpreter.
