How can we nourish ourselves and our communities in our grief?
Fom the loss of loved ones to COVID-19, to the perpetual grief of systemic racism and an escalating climate crisis, to mourning everyday routines and physical connection.

On June 17, 2021, we gathered in community to listen to stories from Liberation Cuisine founder, chef and advocate Gabriela Álvarez-Martinez, critically acclaimed chef and death doula-in-training Yana Gilbuena, and Black farmer community organizer, agri-cultural anthropologist and urban farmer Dr. Gail P. Myers. Together, we witnessed our collective grief and explored ways to nourish each other through the foods we eat, grow, and gather around.
