Thursday 9th September 2021 saw the long awaited first run of the new Island Line's South Western Railway Class 484's to Ryde Pier Head.

After spending some time performing tests on the pier itself, 484003 made it through to Ryde Pier head, before a quick turn around and return to Ryde Esplanade and onward to the depot.
