#SportsNEWS: Jamaica's last man standing, John Chin, has worked his way into the quarterfinals of the @itftennis Kingston M15 Futures Tournament, after creating a major upset earlier today at the Eric Bell Tennis Centre.

Chin who gained a wildcard into the main draw defeated the #2 seed and world #462, Leo Borg, son of tennis legend in three sets 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, to set up a clash with Indian qualifier, Aryan Shah, currently ranked 1,096.

In other results, Miles Jones who took out top-seed @blaisebicknell the day before was beaten 6(4,7-5 by fellow American, Ryan Fishback. #3 seed Kiranpal Pannu of New Zealand brushed-aside Daniel Vishick of Great Britain 6-1, 6-0, Aristorellis Thanos of Greece beat Matt Kuhar of the US 6-1, 6-1, #8 Dan Martin out of Canada stopped Taym Al Azmeh of Germany 6-1, 6-3, while the #4 seed Ezekiel Clarke turned-back Antiguan Jody Maginley 6-1, 6-1.

Andrew Fenty was the victim of Chin's next opponent, going down 6-2, 6-2. The rest of the quarterfinal lineups read Fishback against Ricardo Rodriquez of Venezuela, Pannu facing Thanos and Martin battling Clarke. Action will serve-off at 10:am.
