President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. concludes his Official Visit to Washington, D.C. by delivering a keynote message during a formal dinner hosted by the U.S.-Philippines Society on April 12, 2024.

According to Philippine Ambassador to the U.S. Jose Manuel Romualdez, more than 200 business leaders from all over the United States came to the nation’s capital to listen to the President’s “pronouncements and what the future will be like for the Philippines.”

The Society initially met President Marcos Jr. in Malacañan Palace last January 2023 followed by their second meeting in Washington, D.C. in May 2023. In both engagements, the Society pledged its commitment for greater cooperation and partnership towards development initiatives that will trigger economic growth in the Philippines.

A private sector initiative, the U.S.-Philippines Society was organized to broaden and expand interaction and understanding through basic research and/or applied research in the areas of security, trade, investments, tourism, environment, history, education and culture between the two nations that would benefit the American public and the Filipino people.
