The FV101 Scorpion is a type of British armored reconnaissance vehicle that played a key role in the Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance Tracked or CVR(T) series of seven armored vehicles. Produced by Alvis and introduced into service with the British Army in 1973, it was active until 1994, serving as a fire support type and lead vehicle. Over 3,000 Scorpions were produced for British Army and Royal Air Force and utilized as either a reconnaissance vehicle or a light tank.
