Summary:
ERC20 is the token standard that helps keep track of Fungible tokens.
A token can represent virtually anything on the Blockchain that we can earn or trade with other people.

Examples include Reputation point in an Online Platform or Game, DeFi, Governance Tokens.
Ideally, developers build these tokens with utility within their Projects. The use cases are ever-expanding.
