Kato N scale ALC42 ESU LokSound install walkthrough

Описание к видео Kato N scale ALC42 ESU LokSound install walkthrough

Continuing with my horribly shot, terribly narrated and poorly edited video series, I present you another Kato N scale ALC-42 with ESU LokSound install video.

This differs from the first video as it shows a bit more of the process, plus this one features expanded lighting outputs. Essentially, instead of just using the Kato light pipes off of one LED for the forward lights and ditchlights, the ditch lights are split off for independant control along with having operating front red marker lights added (this is non functioning on the stock Kato model). Also, I refined the methods for the install process a bit for semi mass production for both options.

Used for this conversion is an ESU 58741 board, wired warm white 0402 LED's, scrap Kato PCB and surface mount resistors, a 15x8 speaker and 3d printed housing. Sound file is ESU S0837 ALC42 sound file with lighting functions re-function mapped.

Please note I generally don't answer questions in the comments on YouTube as they tend to get lost in the noise and I don't always get alrerts for some reason.

I hope you learned something. If not, I hope you were at least entertained. As always, thanks for watching!
