Thompson Consulting Engineers is proud to continue our “Women in Construction” series, created and moderated by Celia Polman, P.E. This series brings together women whose work and passion revolves around the built environments to share in their career experiences, discuss challenges women face and encourage and support each other’s pursuit towards a successful and meaningful career.

This month we welcomed, Denise Nelson, P.E., CFM, ENV SP, LEED AP, Sustainable and Resilient Infrastructure Engineer, Denise Nelson Advising, LLC who talked about her career path from working for various companies which included living abroad for a period of time to deciding to open her own business in June of 2024. Her advice for networking - be genuine, be curious and don't take anyone for granted.
