This is Kabu's first experience in wearing a prosthetic support for her dislocated ankle. The injury happened many years ago when she was a child accompanying her mother in a logging area. She has already adapted to her disability, long before she arrived at Elephant Nature Park. The medical team was concerned about her ankle, and the pressure on the joint as she gets older. The prosthetic brace is designed to assist Kabu's step. Matters like this always take some time for adjustment for the best fit and useful application.
