So this video is pretty garbage but it’s ok because no one will see this anyway. I just really needed to vent these emotions and so that’s what I did

I was in a relationship with someone who had unresolved trauma. I didn’t know what they were going through prior or during our relationship. There was zero communication leading up to our breakup, she broke up with me through text, didn’t communicate all of her feelings to me, never gave me a chance to speak to her about what happened in person, she seemed completely unaffected by our breakup, and she broke up with me the week of valentines day too (that was incredibly fun as you could imagine ☹️). It feels silly because we weren’t together for very long, but it’s still something that left a mark on me. I had tried my best to forgive this person for what they had done to me, but recently they ended up hurting me again. I blame myself for putting myself in that situation in the first place. I wasn’t giving myself enough space to move on from this person, and they weren’t respecting my feelings at all. I realized that trying to be close with this person was giving me more pain than joy, so I decided that I didn’t owe them forgiveness in the first place. Instead of trying to make amends with this person, I should have kept my distance from her all together. I’ve ultimately decided that I want nothing to do with them moving forward in life. I want to try my best to forget about her and move on with my life.

Part of the healing process for me is putting myself more out there. Having the courage to be vulnerable, and to put myself in uncomfortable situations. This is the purpose of this video and I think it’ll also help me find a sense of closure as well, because if I’ve learnt anything, and I’ve learned many things from this experience, it’s that you can’t always rely on other people to give you closure. You have to find it within yourself.
