Welcome back to the Hybrid Zombie Shooter Game tutorial series! In this video, I’ll walk you through the process of integrating Rifle and Pistol animations into Unreal Engine 5.5 using Mixamo and creating smooth, functional animations for your character.

Here’s what we’ll cover step-by-step:

Downloading Rifle and Pistol animations from Mixamo.
Retargeting Mixamo animations to the Unreal Engine skeleton so they work seamlessly with your project.
Creating separate Blend Spaces for Rifle and Pistol animations to handle movement transitions (Idle, Walk, Run, etc.).
Setting up an Animation State Machine using Conduits for clean and organized animation flow.
Using an Enumeration (Enum) to switch between weapon states and control the animation logic efficiently.
By the end of this video, you’ll have functional Rifle and Pistol animations, complete with blend spaces and a state machine ready to expand for gameplay.
