Spyder F3 SWAY BAR Replacement 2022 Base Model

One of the best descriptions I have heard on what a sway bar does:

Imagine yourself standing still and you bend one knee. Think of this as your outside wheel in a turn. Your body will naturally want to bend or roll to that side of your body as the other leg (or the inside wheel) stays straight. A sway bar will bend the knee of the straight leg bringing them both even and reducing the roll. This reduces camber, which increases wheel contact with the road; improving handling.

Car Ramps make this install very easy and relatively safe. Purchased on Amazon, delivered with prime for $218. They are reusable, unlike the service fee at a dealership which would have had a similar price. And there is satisfaction in doing the work for oneself.

These machines are incredibly heavy so do take care. Truck loading ramps are a great option, as are tire cribs in combination with a motorcycle lift. And if you live on a quiet street and want to open a man hole and drop down and remove the bar... give me a days notice because I want to see this live.

Price to performance, this was a great modification. I hadn't given it much thought until one day when I went around this particular corner in town, and my outside wheel was just buried by the Spyder's lean. Couldn't unsee it from that point on.

On reflection I would suggest a 4x4 over 2x4 for the added height it gives while under the Spyder and the just incase factor. Secretly I am rooting for the 2x4. (Note: the ramps have 4 safety pin holes. The first set of holes is essentially at base line and of little value. Pin holes are spaced 1.5" apart.)
