Let us take a look and find out, but first, Welcome to Wrexham.

Unless you live under a rock, you probably know that Hollywood A Listers, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney took over the running of Wrexham AFC a few years ago and the Wrexham AFC football team have been doing rather well to say the least.

Wrexham is the largest town, now city, in North Wales, full of Welsh charm and historical treasures, but sadly, Wrexham, like many towns and cities in our now, 'Boarded Up Britain'. the town, sorry, city has seen better days.

In the 1980s, Wrexham was thriving, with shops of all flavours, and streets packed with weekly shoppers. Sadly times have changed, due to out of town retailers, online shopping and the general cost of living and many of the shops and outlets are no longer occupied, making it a bit of a boarded up town, sorry, city.

Despite today's boarded up trend, it actually looks like Wrexham may be rising from the ashes, but is this due to the Hollywood effect of Rob and Ryan and their TV series, Welcome To Wrexham? Chances are it probably is, but that can only be a good thing.

In this Wrexham vlog, we take a look round the town, sorry, city of Wrexham, comparing it to the last few times we've visited, and we take a look at the state of the town, sorry, city and look to see if there have been any improvements in Wrexham since Wrexham AFC, Welcome To Wrexham and Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney to the world by storm.

Just in case you don't know, Rob and Ryan's Welcome To Wrexham is an FX / Disney Plus documentary series, following the progress of Wrexham AFC since the two Hollywood stars took over the running of the club.

In this video, we visit many of Wrexham's famous and not so famous land marks, have a look around the Wrexham AFC Shop at the Stok Racecourse ground, head over to the Turf Hotel, we also also drop in to the Wrexham Lager shop and have a chat with a very nice chap.

We also went in search of the now infamous sketch of Rob McElhenney, recently rescued from the wreckage of the Titanic, whilst searching for Wrexham Lager. We found it, and it is now taking pride of place in Wrexham's creative hub, Ty Pawb.

Talking of artwork, we couldn't be in Wrexham without checking out all of the football related artwork that is now all over town. We visited the Welcome To Wrexham house on Crispin Lane, we took a look at the Paul Mullin mural on the side of Wrexham's Fat Boar, as well as visiting the new Phil Parkinson painting on the gate of The Turf Hotel, now one of the most famous pubs in Wales.

Our conclusion was, that Wrexham is on the up again, with new bars, restaurants and independent retailers popping up all the time. Is this due to the popularity of Rob and Ryan's Welcome To Wrexham? It probably is, but who cares. All that matters is that Wrexham is building it'self back up to be the thriving town, sorry, city, it once was.
