G20" stands for "Group of the 20 most important industrialized and emerging countries".
These are: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China, Germany, France, Great Britain, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, USA, EU

The leaders of the G20 meet for exchange once or twice a year. In the late nineties the focus was on economic and financial issues. Meanwhile, however, the group members also deal with topics such as climate, energy, nutrition, health or social issues.
