For the very first episode of the Hyperpop Daily Game Show, hosts David Rodriguez and Taylor Malone sat down with Xangang. The Hyperpop Daily Game Show is an interview series in which interviewees play the proprietary board game that was designed and produced specifically for this series.
Xangang is an American hip hop producer from Brooklyn, NY. He is widely known for being a pioneer of the beloved underground rap subgenre “pluggnb.” In this board game based interview, Xangang is poised with varying challenges in which he is presented with an opportunity to win money, from a mini spelling bee to shooting hoops to underground trivia.
Between the spaces of the board game, our host David and Xangang have in depth music based conversations about everything from the first beats he ever made to the origins of the pluggnb subgenre to the influence of people like Chief Keef and Zaytoven.
