I had this idea running in my head for a while but I couldn't find the right genre for it. At first I wanted to do Electro House, but then I found out about Synthwave. The Rocket being so limited in sounds and polyphony made it extremely interesting to figure out how to make it sound versatile. And he did very very well - though I had to drench him in effects. ;)
Also yes, the video title is not entirely true since the drums are done using the Quasimidi Sirius. And damn I was surprised it can sound that tight without any further procession except for a little EQing to cut the 6 kHz area by a few decibels.
