Our gurus, also known as our teachers or mentors, are people who give provide us with a way to look at life in a certain way, they guide us through a path we are not familiar with and help us acquire the tools required to reach the pinnacle of anything we are pursuing. Such a person is someone we all should revere and respect as it is because of these people that we are able to make something of ourselves.

These gurus come in various forms in our lives, from our parents to our school teachers to people who teach us their crafts and ways of life. The bhajan today celebrates these amazing humans and shows us how much love and respect we should, and we already do, hold for our beloved teachers and mentors.
