Russians who are registered as unemployed have begun to be offered military contract service as a vacancy. Offered is not the proper term, really. In an ancient russian tradition of lies and enforcement once you accept a position of say a carpenter you end up in an assault squad right on the frontline. Russian Army has lost more than 600,000 soldiers killed or wounded since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, including 1120 in just one day, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported. Vladimir Putin appointed his cousin Anna Tsivileva as State Secretary and Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation.
