BEST WAR GAME EVER | Memoir 44' Review and How To

Memoir 44' by Days of Wonder is a historically based World War II Tabletop Miniatures Wargame Boardgame. Now if that sounds like an absurd mouthful, let me assure you this is one of the easiest to learn, easiest to play, and most enjoyable games I have played in years. This is a game for 2 to 8 players that accurately recreates 17 separate battles that took place across Europe during WW2, and it combines the best aspects of each of the game genres that make it up. Think miniatures games are too costly, time consuming, and complex? BOOM! This game sets up and plays in an hour, start to finish, and can be learned in about 15 minutes. Think hex games overly simplify miniatures combat? KAPOW! This game maintains a level of detail that keeps things feeling tactical and unique, with streamlined terrain, movement, attacking, and defensive features, but also includes special forces, special close assault actions, and more. Looking for a game that isn't just a bunch of plastic soldiers and dice calling itself a historical wargame? OOOH BOY! This game fills each scenario with so much historical information, and goes out of its way to truly recreate the battlefield and units of the battle as accurately as possible, you'll walk away from each game feeling like you actually understand the struggles that took place during this great war just a little bit more.
