The Patra Rub and Abrasion tester (ink rub tester)

High levels of repeatability and convenience for testing the durability of inks and coatings on printed materials.

The rub tester is used for testing the scuff, marking / rub resistance of cartons, films and printed materials

This comparative test works by abrading a printed sample against a reference material under known conditions.

The results are be used to help identify alternative substrates, better ink and coating formulations or the suitability of printed packaging, cartons, labels, films or printed materials such as magazines and books.

The Hanatek Rub and Abrasion tester is programmed at the start of the test for the required number of cycles, allowing the operator to leave the rub tester running while they complete other testing within the laboratory.

Optional test attachments offer the ability to conduct tests under harsher conditions and can be used to check the solvent resistance or the cure of UV inks.
