Because of its exceptionally well preserved gothic architecture, the entire city center of Bruges was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000.

The cobble stone streets, majestic city squares, world-class museums and many cultural activities make Bruges a unique travel destination that charms millions of visitors each year. Because of its many canals, Bruges is often referred to as the Venice of the North.
