This clip focuses on both the dual escapement as well as the dual Henri-Bernard Wagner remontoire. These gravity-driven swinging cage remontoire were first invented in the 1840's but have never been used as a pair driven by a common differential and never to drive an escapement with a large amount of recoil as is found in Harrison's type as used here. Many problems were encountered from this marriage and some problems have yet to be resolved, but we have the majority conquered.

As of August all of the movement works have been transfered from the temporary plastic frame plates to the metal plates. The lower frames containing the main winding drums as well as the left hand corner frame pillars containing the time train are largely completed to their final forms. The central and right hand upper frames are still to be cut to their intended shapes. We are now just past the halfway point in this project.
