That's a wrap for our 2022 HESTIVAL. See you all next year! Thank you for joining us.

HESTIVAL is an annual all-inclusive, family & critter-friendly camp-out weekend! Spend nights dreaming amongst the apples in Big B's Delicious Orchards and daytimes full of activities, excursions, talented live music, fireside chats, cider tastings, stargazing, and delicious food & drink. HESTIVAL-goers will have day trip options to mountain bike, hike, or simply kick back and explore the local orchards before the group reconvenes for a daily Big B’s Cider at Happy Hour before a headliner band will take the stage and dance under the stars of the new moon.

Highlights from HESTIVAL 2022 include:

Camping IN a blossoming Apple Orchard!
Dreaming amongst Big B’s Delicious fruit trees was the most magical part of HESTIVAL! So many awesome rigs nestled in the apple, pear & peach trees- which were all timely blooming from the warmth of the spring sunshine… it was a very special camping experience.

The WEATHER!
Doesn’t get much better than ‘75 & Sunny’- which we were blessed with all day on Saturday. Friday got a little windy, and the nights cooled down, but made for some cozy campfire weather & kick off to camping season.

The PEOPLE
It’s been wayyy too long since we’ve all been able to properly gather & throw down. It was heartwarming to see people laughing, smiling, high-fiving, dancing and creating new connections + friendships. We met so many awesome people this past weekend. Feeling blessed to have such a great community.

LIVE MUSIC!!
How great is it to watch and hear live music again!? Cousin Curtiss and Stillhouse Junkies rocked the crowd on Friday night while the music and vocals of Gabrielle Louise & Rising Appalachia took us to heaven while the sun set behind the nearby mountains.

NEW MOON Stargazing with Local Astronomer
The dreamiest moment of the weekend was definitely cosmis stargazing with Aaron Watson of Dark Skies Paonia. Laying on HEST camping pads & pillows, under the new moon and clear skies, learning about astronomy??? It doesn’t get much better than that.

Guided Geology Hike in the North Rim of the Black Canyon National Park
Those who took advantage of our free shuttle to the Black Canyon National Park were treated with an educational hike on the North Vista trail to Exclamation Point. Big B’s is located in a pretty incredible part of Colorado, with so much to see and do nearby, we were stoked to have a chance to check out the area.

Sooooo Many Cute Littles & Fur Babies
It was a kid and dog wonderland; face painting, hay bale rides, swings, green grass, treats, coloring and happy people. Dogs were wagging their tails, playing chase, and living the orchard dog’s dream.

Yoga in the Orchard
Hannah Smith closed out the weekend with a slow Sunday morning yoga in the Dreamer Zone between apple trees. After a raucous weekend of activity, recharging and resetting was the best way to end HESTIVAL.

Yummy Food & Drink
Thanks to Big B’s for cooking up fresh, delicious food throughout the weekend and keeping fresh, crisp and refreshing apple cider on tap. The brisket sandwich was a favorite of our team with meat smoked in fruit wood from their trees… drool worthy? You betcha!
