Storyline:
The 35-nation IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) board met in Vienna, Austria on the day reports from Iran suggested United Nations (UN) inspectors would be granted access to a site suspected of hosting secret atomic work.
US Ambassador to the IAEA, Robert Wood, and Israeli Ambassador Ehud Azoulay joined other diplomats to discuss recent inspection reports and the apparent offer from Tehran.
A statement by Iran's permanent envoy to the IAEA said the visit will now be allowed in a gesture of good will.
There was no immediate comment at the IAEA headquarters in Vienna on Tehran's decision.
Iran had previously refused IAEA demands to see the Parchin facility, southeast of Tehran, and also refused the questioning of Iranian officials about allegations of secret weapons work.
The ISNA news agency reports that UN inspector access, however, would require an agreement between the two sides on guidelines for the inspection.
Last year, an IAEA report said there were indications Tehran had conducted high-explosives testing to set off a nuclear charge at Parchin.
Iran denies the atomic activity and any intention of possessing nuclear weapons.
