Welcome to my channel! In this video I demo and review a KOKKO Mini Distortion pedal provided by Canadian Guitar Player Blog (https://canadianguitarplayer.blogspot...). A BIG THANKS to them for sending this guitar pedal to review! I also recorded a short demo using the KOKKO Mini Distortion pedal with my new Fender American Ultra telecaster to show off the tone and gain features of this guitar pedal.

For the song demo I am playing through the KOKKO Mini Distortion pedal into a Marshall Silver Jubilee Mini 25 Watt Tube Head set to the clean channel through a Boss WAZA Tube Amp Expander.My Fender American Ultra Telecaster was able to produce raunchy grit and dirt style distortion on a mid gain setting with the KOKKO pedal. And I was able to easily dial in good lead gain sounds for the guitar solo lead tracks. For the rhythm gain and solo tones I used the KOKKO Distortion pedal only. I love the gain and attack of this pedal especially for lead tones. I think this distortion pedal performs well compared to other distortion pedals and overdrive pedals including more expensive boutique overdrives and distortion pedals. It is much like a couple of popular name brand distortion pedals that are known for being amp like. Although calling this distortion effects pedal amp like is a bit of a stretch. It also acts like a overdrive pedal when the gain setting is set to a lower output. I believe that the KOKKO Distortion pedal is more than worth it to own. Its build quality seems pretty durable and the tone knobs glow in the dark which is a very useful feature for dark stages with low light situations. Aside from using my Fender American Ultra Telecaster with it I am looking forward to recording with it using a Gibson Les Paul and similar style hum-bucking guitar and a Fender Stratocaster which I think will bring out different tonal colors. I was impressed with how it reacted to the single coil pick up in my tele.
