Rockbank station, on the Ballarat line in Melbourne's west, originally opened as "Mount Atkinson" in 1884 when the line to Serviceton, near the South Australian border, was opened. Being on a single track line, the station was a crossing loop for trains until 2019 when the newly rebuilt Rockbank station opened to passengers with the duplication of the line to Melton as part of the Regional Rail Revival project. Here we look at some VLocity trains at the station during peak hour on a freezing cold winter's morning
