Official "look-and-feel"-trailer for an early technical demo of Pine, the game that evolves. Work your way up a mountain to face an impressive and witty endboss, while the game attempts to learn your playstyle and read your patterns.

In Pine, all inhabitants of the world observe their environment, each other and the player's actions in order to survive. This demo was made in roughly 4 months as an attempt to build the first version of a truly evolving game ecology, based on neural network AI that enhances a more classic gameplay structure. Testing helps us gather data that we can use to iterate, as building an adapting game system has proven to be a highly intricate process.
