I Built an Epic Mini Boat from a Kids Toy

it was almost as romantic as that boat scene from the Notebook

I kept seeing these videos online of people turning Little Tikes sandboxes into proper functioning motorboats and I knew I had to try it! It definitely was a bigger project than I anticipated but really rewarding to live out my dream of owning a boat.

Should I put a bigger motor on it and take it to the open ocean next?

Materials used:
- Little Tikes tugboat sandbox
- Expanding flotation foam
- Spray paint
- Plywood
- Construction adhesive
- Foam boat decking
- Electric motor
- Vintage marine compass from a thrift store
