OSRS Thermonuclear Smoke Devil w/Tumeken's Shadow(110+kph no alt)

Another Pure Dps test using the Tumeken's Shadow similar to the Giant Mole video I made recently. The Tumeken's Shadow is currently bis at this boss and beats the harmonized nightmare staff/scythe by about 6%. A difference i used in this video was using thralls for about an extra 1 dps. With an alt account and no banking 110 kph is possible. You could use the Dragon Claws spec and menaphite remedy's to restore stats since the ancient brews reduce all melee and defensive stats. Another spec weapon choice is the volatile nightmare staff which I sold for melee gear to run phosani's nightmare so it wasn't included in this video.

This video was ran without thralls and just a standard spellbook with high alch and fire surge. In that video i got about 42 kills using the same ancient brew method in about 28 mins. The method also didn't use thralls which cuts alot of the ancient brew use. That means in this video with the Tumeken's Shadow you could probably get about 50 kills without banking and still over 100 kph in 2 trips just using high alchs.

Another comparison is this video with scythe    • Thermonuclear Smoke Devil - Scythe/Sp...   Roughly the same kph but this mage video doesn't use a spec weapon. alt's could be used strictly for banking, maybe spec transfers with volatile staff and you could hit the 116 kph since this video varied from 112-116 kph. A max efficient method from bis melee to tumeken switch could probably get 120 kph lol. I would not attempt though for such an easy and relaxed boss.

What i also like about this strategy I haven't seen is the use of ancient brews. Each dose cost about 250 and a whole 4 dose potion is only 1k. a prayer potion costs about 10.7k with each dose costing about 2600-2700gp. Ancient brews cost 1/10th as much per dose and although they only restore 10 pray, most of the time without thralls you can proc redemption before the 10 pray points run out. It saves a lot of gp in the long run considering each thermy kill gives on average, with all uniques and drops 20k each. You can make about 1.5m-2m gp per hour whereas you would barely profit with prayer potions.

In the end I really liked how the dps check of the staff compared to other weapon's. The longest kill for this trip was 39 seconds and most kills were under 25 seconds with some being as low as 15 seconds. It gives a good average of the dps comparison compared to harmonized staff or scythe at this boss
