Arrow Vane Designs for Improved Broadhead Flight

There are numerous questions surrounding which vane setup performs best for bowhunting. Unfortunately, much of the available information lacks a scientific basis and varies significantly from one opinion to another. While a substantial amount of scientific research has been conducted on arrow flight in target archery, the aerodynamics differ considerably when a broadhead is attached to the front of the arrow. In order to assist bowhunters in achieving more accurate shots through a deeper comprehension of arrow flight and the impact of vane designs on performance, we have sponsored a study at the University of Colorado to address some of these inquiries.
