Saint Barnabas Health Care System is Now "Barnabas Health"

Saint Barnabas Health Care System, New Jersey's largest health care provider, announces it has changed its name to "Barnabas Health." On June 20, 2011, the Saint Barnabas Health Care Board of Trustees unanimously voted to change the organization's name.

For the past 15 years, the Saint Barnabas Health Care System's reputation as New Jersey's Health Care Leader has grown statewide and nationally. The Saint Barnabas Health Care System name has become synonymous with the highest quality care throughout New Jersey and the country.

Barnabas Health offers New Jersey's only lung transplant program and the only certified burn center. Additionally, Barnabas Health is home to one of the top NICUs in the world, and both the heart and kidney transplant programs are among the top 10 in the nation. Barnabas Health also includes the largest pediatric emergency center in the nation, and three of the busiest emergency departments in the state.

Changing our name to Barnabas Health connects our tradition of health care excellence with the promise of a dynamic and progressive future. Barnabas Health also builds on the awareness and positive reputation of the Saint Barnabas Health Care System. Barnabas Health brings a fresh, enthusiastic feel to its brand and identity as New Jersey's Health Care Leader.
