Описание к видео Klezmer Heritage Concerto - San Francisco Yiddish Orchestra

Klezmer Heritage Concerto composed by Jason Eckl for Rebecca Roudman.

The Klezmer Heritage Concerto by Jason Eckl is an exciting new work that features the music of the Jewish diaspora through Eastern Europe and America. Written for Rebecca Roudman, cellist, the piece delves into her heritage by combining the traditional Klezmer sounds of Eastern Europe with the modern sounds and original music of her musical journey in America.

Mvt. 1 is based on traditional melodies from the Yiddish weddings bands of Eastern Europe.
Mvt. 2 is based on Hungarian and Russian ballads.
Mvt. 3 is a modern Klezmer piece that mixes the sounds of Klezmer heritage with a 21st. century feel.
