Weekly Waveform #6 - Hall Effect Sensors

Описание к видео Weekly Waveform #6 - Hall Effect Sensors

For the automotive weekly waveform #6 we are going to be getting a capture from a Hall effect sensor. Hall effect sensors are typically a 3 wire sensor. We will have a voltage source between 5-12volts, a ground reference and a signal wire. The signal wire normally toggles between the low ref and the high ref or the source voltage and ground. In this case we did not toggle all the way to ground or all the way to the source voltage and this is common. We instead toggled from 0.79 volts and 4.14 volts and Toyota is doing this for diagnostic purposes. If the signal were to get pulled all the way down to 0.0 volts the computer will set a short to ground code or signal low code. If the signal gets pulled up to 5 volts or even higher the computer will set a short to voltage code or signal high code.
I used the AESwave uScope and the snap-on modis edge for captures
Here are the files for the modis and uScope in case you wanted to view them- https://drive.google.com/drive/folder...
