Prof. Dr. Peter Verburg is Professor and Department Head of the Department of Spatial Analysis and Decision Support at the Institute for Environmental Studies, VU University Amsterdam and gave his THESys Public Lecture titled ‘Global Sustainable Land Use: the science and the reality’ on November 26th, 2020. He was introduced by Prof. Dr. Patrick Hostert, Head of Earth Observation Lab of the Geography Department at Humboldt-University and Co-Director of IRI THESys.
