Hillman Avenger

Oliver Reed chasing the bad guys in a Hillman Avenger. Hillman is a marque of the old Rootes Group auto manufacturers which Chrysler took control of in the late 1960's.
The Avenger was a good handeling and tough car for its time. Unfortunatly Chrysler UK didn't place them in TV shows as Ford did and thats likely why so few are around today. Well that and not spending £5 in the factory rustproofing them!
The Sweeny's Granada chasing an Avenger? No chance! I like the old Fords as well and it gets a bit annoying when people seem to think the only decent driving and reliable car of the time were Fords.
