Newsweek’s Senior Editor-at-Large Josh Hammer has labelled Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman as a “changed man”.

John Fetterman recently received a standing ovation at Yeshiva University after telling students in a commencement address he was “profoundly disappointed” with his alma mater Harvard for failing to deal with antisemitism on its campus.

“He's become something of a folk hero, frankly, in the American Jewish community,” Mr Hammer told Sky News host Rita Panahi said.

“The fact that John Fetterman has emerged like this – especially on the Israel issue, on fighting antisemitism – it is a small sign of hope amidst a Democratic Party that increasingly, overall, really does seem to be lurching to the very, very, very far left on this issue and other issues.”
