I walked up most of the way (I had been at the top a few days earlier, accessing it through the Rousdon Estate).

It is apparently closed to the public owing to the danger of slippage.
I found it fine...there were a very few wooden steps that were loose or had given way, but overall, they look solid still.
The only rock or earth movements were made by me clambering up the lower part of it!

I meet a lovely guy on the beach of Charton Bay. He had camped overnight having arrived by kayak from Axmouth the day before. We had a great conversation, finding quite a lot in common, certainly in our younger days.

It was a memorable day.

My sincere gratitude to the musician who wrote the main piece of music.
