Filmic Pro VS MotionCam vs S22 Ultra vs OnePlus 10 Pro vs Pixel 6 Filmmaking Comparison

Does Filmic Pro or MotionCam deliver the best quality footage between the Samsung S22 Ultra vs OnePlus 10 Pro vs Pixel 6? I test all three devices and both apps to show you the cinematic b roll, how well each apps footage holds up with color grading in Davinci Resolve, and some of the issues with shooting RAW DNG video.

Filmic Pro is the leader in the field of third party mobile filmmaking apps, but it can't do one thing . . . film in RAW! The Samsung S22 Ultra, OnePlus 10 Pro, and Google Pixel 6 are top tier Android phones with excellent camera systems--but which is best in terms of mobile videography? After comparing multiple test shots and color grading each in Davinci Resolve, I'll tell you which I think is the winner, plus you can see the results for yourself!

We'll also look at some issues that come from filming in both apps. MotionCam raw is great, but the file sizes are huge, there's additional conversion time to DNG, and editing in Davinci Resolve might require converting to proxies. Filmic Pro has its own issues when shooting in 10 bit HEVC at the Filmic Ultra bitrate, and the Pixel 6 and S22 Ultra had issues. I have to say that the OnePlus 10 Pro camera testing was really impressive with both apps!
