Fixing Timber Battens to the Van Walls | Van Build Ep.5

I'm not much good with metal so I want to create a timber skeleton that's fixed to the metal so that I can fix everything else to the wood.

We bought 32, 1800mm 19x38mm battens and we essentially just created an internal wall on both sides. We have ended up losing around 7 inches of width in the van at waist height because of this and we now have quite a big void for filling with insulation. Honestly though I'm not really too sure how else we could've done it and I think it will come out great. The Peugeot boxer is quite a wide van anyway so it shouldn't be a problem.

Next job I think is to partially ply line the walls, insulate and build the bed frame!
