Penny's Big Breakaway 100% SPEEDRUN in 2'56"33

(Recorded prior to Patch 1.2) This isn't a run I'm too happy with but I pretty much needed to upload it after failing to record my first attempt, which was about 10 minutes slower. Note to self: Don't speedrun on an empty stomach.

The category at first glance does not seem too different from Any%. You are doing the same stages and fighting the same bosses. However, all of the show pieces and dilemmas means that most of the skips used in that category no longer apply. This is also combined with the fact missing a single one (like I did in level 6-1) means replaying the entire stage. Factor in load times, resets and the bonus star globe levels at the end and this turns into a beast of a run, especially for a platformer.

There is ample room for improvement here. Pretty much everything that could have gone wrong did go wrong. Penny is basically the first game I've really dedicated time to speedrunning and it probably shows, lol. You can actually see each meltdown as it happens. Estimating that all of the time loss here adds up to a solid 30-40 minutes. This is without any possible reroutes, but that comes far later.
