Yingyong Yodbuangarm is Thai-Khmer country singer. He's a Khmer native (Khmer Surin) of northern eastern Thailand. Since the 90's he has been singing songs in Thai & Khmer in his albums. Apart from speaking Thai he also speaks traditional Khmer accent which still found in country Cambodia, especial in northern regions of Siem Reap, Prah Vihear, Banteay Mean Jay and some parts of Battambang. The 3 main provinces in Thailand which predominantly with Khmer native population are Surin, Buriram and Sisakhet. Cambodia lost huge of her population when the border was drawn up dividing the neighbouring countries during the French colonial protectorate period. The peak of Khmer Empire was from 9th-15th century, covering the areas of today modern Cambodia, Thailand, Laos and Vietnam.
