Nearly a year ago, on June 14, 2012, the Israeli social justice movement exploded. The catalyst was a tent encampment started by Daphne Leef on Rothschild Boulevard in Tel Aviv in response to an issue that New Yorkers can certainly empathize with -- the rent is too damn high.
